An exceptional antique 9k gold Albert chain dating to 1919, with its original T-bar and a seriously satisfying 49.1g of gold. Substantial 5.5mm links give it that perfect weight and presence — bold, beautifully made and remarkably modern for something over a century old.
Originally designed as a gentleman’s watch chain, today it makes a rather brilliant necklace. Wear the T-bar front and centre, or add a favourite antique charm or pendant. Personally, we think it needs very little help.
The craftsmanship is part of the appeal. Made by Henry Williamson Ltd (HW Ltd) and hallmarked in Birmingham in 1919, each individual link is hallmarked, along with the clasps — the kind of detail you simply don’t see every day.
At 18 inches, it sits perfectly at the neckline. One of those rare pieces that feels as relevant now as it did more than 100 years ago.
