Antique 18k Gold Diamond-Eyed Snake Ring | 1917–1918
A century of temptation. Some things never go out of style.
An extraordinary antique 18k gold snake ring, hallmarked in Chester in 1917–1918. Beautifully sculpted in rich yellow gold, its sinuous, coiled body wraps elegantly around the finger, finished with a sparkling diamond eye.
Snake jewellery has long symbolised transformation, renewal and eternal love. Made particularly fashionable by Queen Victoria, who received a serpent engagement ring from Prince Albert, it remains one of the most seductive motifs in antique jewellery.
Over a century old and entirely one of a kind.
